This is one of the best posts I have ever read on this topic. It is deeply relatable and confirms many experiences I have had and continue to have on my own journey of unfoldment and spiritual progression.

God bless you and thank you Berhnard.

I studied other cultures and religions at university because even then I knew that Truth was out there for those who would seek it… it just wasn’t likely to be found in one religion or one civilization. I wasn’t about to just accept what I was raised with as the end all, be all.

I have always loved learning about myths, folklore and deities. I love Jesus for what he represents, and that’s hard to explain to people as I’m not a practicing Christian.

I have found so many truths over the years of my exploration. There is inspiration and esoteric knowledge to be found in almost any form if you are open to it. The issue of literalism is so potent, you nailed it on the head with that observation and how the historical details are moot in light of the greater picture.

THIS is the article I have been waiting for that ties all of my own thoughts and experiences up with a bow. Thanks Bernhard. I will be sharing this. ❤️

I’m relieved to read this.

I have come to the conclusion that the “second coming “ is through us.

My friend became a “born again “ and threw out her crystals, started telling me that yoga was demonic, even posting you tube videos from ex new agers claiming that Jung and shadow work were demonic. When I saw that I wondered if this was not another way of discouraging knowing oneself and encouraging externalisation of “safety”

… handing everything to God is not to me taking responsibility for oneself.

Anyway this article echoes my thinking.. thank you.

Several years ago I woke up around 3am to the realization that “I AM The Way…” is inside me — that I must journey inward into myself.

That’s when it became crystal clear, experiential, and not theoretical.

Thank you for this article. The timing feels Divine. The last part about whether or not Jesus actually walked the earth and everything else you speak of brought a memory to the surface. I have felt that way for a long time.

This is such an incredible article, thank you. I enjoyed reading it so much and helps bring new levels and depth of understanding to the concepts you share within it. So helpful and very much appreciated as always.

As a kid nothing about religion made sense to me: the middle eastern wars “in the name of God or Allah”; church going Christians who stabbed each other in the back; non-baptized people who were good, kind and generous couldn’t go to heaven? I was raised Christian, but found my way Home first from a WILLINGNESS to seek Truth, and second from spiritual guidance that consistently pointed me inwards. Thank you for your very articulate words.

Thank you, Bernhard. Once again, I enjoy your mixture of clarity, thoroughness, depth, rigour and near lack of animosity.

There are many new Christians in my village, along with a shit-ton of yoga practitioners. Some tensions are now palpable, as some of the Christians own the healthfood store!

May we all meet on the deeper path of true Love, from our radiant hearts, from our inner-guided souls...

Jesus said "... The kingdom is inside of you, and outside of you. When you come to know yourselves, then you will become known, and you will realize that it is you who are the children of the living Father. But if you will not know yourselves, you dwell in poverty and it is you who is that poverty."

“All life is Yoga” basically sounds the very same as the Christian teaching in 1st Corinthians “So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”

Useful article and I feel these sentiments! I must say the picture you added was the funniest thing EVER!!

ive had a colorful spiritual journey myself, and can relate to alot your journey and - i also feel God is within -

- i to have had very supernatural spiritual experiences that have been a blessing to my life, for example I been sober for over a year now from Marijuana, the craving left July 19th on a park bench at midnight while praying for my life "I was suicidal" I heard Yeshua being repeated over and over , I never heard that name b4 - ever since that day "addiction " to anything has ceased ⚘️❤️✨️💪

This was a fantastic read and particularly interesting to me as someone making the opposite journey, out of dogmatic religion into an esoteric understanding of Christianity. Thank you for all the research and thought that went into this article. I will be chewing on this for a while.

After a lifetime of Christian teaching (Roman church, then not) I came to similar conclusions…but could not articulate it as beautifully as you did. Thank you for this excellent reflection.

Great article. Where can one go to learn more about what you speak of in this quote?

"In esoteric work, consciously transmuting the sexual center and connecting it to the higher centers is essential. Lust and lower sexual impulses don’t simply disappear through forced repression, confession, or celibacy. They require conscious integration and transformation as part of the inner path."
